"Is there a difference in the way the brain takes in or absorbs information when it is presented electronically versus on paper? Does the reading experience change, from retention to comprehension, depending on the medium?"I'm still not getting all the fear about "e-books". Very soon there will be no difference between e-ink and traditional ink. No "peripheral vision" disturbances, no "reading on screen" (because it'll look, it already looks) like a page) idea that reading will "migrate" (there are no more sailboats, right?) it just speaks to me of lack of imagination and the innate fear of a changing world.

I don't like closed, proprietary readers like Amazon's Kindle. Otherwise, e-book are fine.
